BAKED POTATO PATTICE


 

Baked potato pattice

Crispy layered potato pattice 

MAKING PATTICE IS VERY HECTIC JOB SO TRIED WITH EASY METHOD ,IT COMES OUR SUPER CRISPY AND TASTY.

Ingredients

 2 servings
  1. For Dough--
  2. 2 cups all purpose flour
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1/2 cup water for kneading
  5. For slurry to spread on wraps
  6. 2 tbsp all purpose flour or corn flour
  7. 3 tbsp ghee
  8. For filling--
  9. 4 medium sized potatoes
  10. 1 cup frozen or boiled green peas
  11. 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  12. 1 tbsp grated ginger or paste
  13. 1 tsp jeera
  14. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  15. 1 tsp garam masala
  16. 1 tsp cumin powder
  17. 1 tsp amchur powder
  18. 1 tsp chat masala
  19. as per taste Salt
  20. 1 tsp ajwain
  21. 1 pinch hing
  22. 2 small green chilli chopped
  23. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  24. 1 tbsp lemon juice

Steps

  1. Take mixing bowl for kneading dough add all purpose flour and oil and start kneading by adding water in part keep the dough hard and keep for 15 minutes by covering with cloth. Next, make slurry a smooth paste of all purpose flour or cornflour with adding ghee it should be very smooth paste which we are going to apply on sheets.

  2. Take out the dough and knead again for 5 minutes and make parts of the entire dough and roll round in shape and it should be thin layer then cut in square shape and next out of that square shape make 4 square pcs and keep doing this process same for the other dough parts here I have made for 4 Pattice. Next, take one square apply the paste made and sprinkle some ajwain then again place another and repeat the process for 4 layers for one pattice.

  3. Points to remember you can make filling before and keep ready also. Let's make the filling I have boiled potatoes and green peas. Take pan or kadhai add oil, add cumin seed, let it splutter then add grated ginger and green chilli next add hing.

  4. Next add all the spices, salt and saute for 5 minutes and then add boiled, smashed potatoes and green peas along with chopped coriander leaves, squeeze some lemon juice and mix everything well.

  5. Take the pattice layered, place the stuffing in the centre and close into triangle shape from sides do this process for remaining pattice squares for one pattice cover use 4 square layer placing one by one on each other by greasing the paste made do remember this step and then prepared all the pattice and place in the oven for 20 minutes on 200° and in between greasy some butter on top it gives good colour when baked. Enjoy potatoes pattice bakery-style at home.
